The Marathon – A Great Endurance Test

Marathons are long distance races, generally spanning between 24 and 26 miles. They are run in a number of cities worldwide. In the past three decades, the number of people who have completed a marathon has risen from 150,000 to 425,000.
A marathon is a great endurance test, but it’s not just about the length of the race. It’s also about the journey. When you cross the finish line, you have earned a temporary high.
However, you should not get caught up in the hype. Instead, focus on beating your personal best. If you’re still not sure whether or not you’re ready for the big race, there are plenty of shorter runs that are just as rewarding.
